Short answer

November in Savannah runs from Porchfest on Saturday, November 7 to the holiday-lights season that starts November 28: Savannah Christmas Market (Nov. 19), the Lighted Boat Parade, December Nights at the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens and The Nutcracker all land on that same Saturday.

Christmas Made in the South, Nov. 13–15, is the biggest ticketed event at $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Several organizers had not posted 2026 hours or prices on October 16, so this guide says “not posted” instead of guessing.

Every date below comes from the organizer’s own 2026 page, checked . Dates we could not confirm for 2026 are listed separately at the bottom so you do not plan around last year’s information. We do not sell tickets.

What is the best weekend to visit Savannah in November 2026?

For families, Nov. 13–15 has the most to do in one place: Christmas Made in the South runs all three days, and the half marathon on Saturday morning at Forsyth Park is worth knowing about because of road closures.

For holiday lights, Saturday, Nov. 28 is the busiest night of the month: the Boat Parade, the Botanical Gardens’ opening night and The Nutcracker are all that evening. Pick one or two, since the garden’s tickets are timed and the parade is on the river.

Which Savannah November events are free?

Porchfest (Nov. 7), the Lighted Boat Parade (Nov. 28) and browsing the Forsyth Farmers’ Market on Saturdays are free. Christmas Made in the South is free for children 12 and under with a paying adult at $10. Food at Shalom Y’all is sold by ticket.

Which Savannah November dates are still unconfirmed for 2026?

On October 16 and again on October 17, 2026 these organizers had not published confirmed 2026 information. We will add them once they do.

  • Veterans Day Parade, Wednesday, Nov. 11The Savannah Police page still showed the 2025 route and times. Call the Chatham County Veterans Council at 404-697-4647 to confirm.
  • South Georgia State FairThe fair’s site header and its newest post list “October 29 – November 9”, while earlier posts said “October 29–November 8”; admission includes the Jurassic Kingdom dinosaur show. Hours, prices and parking were not posted. Check the fair’s site before going.
  • Davenport House Fall Arts FestivalThe museum’s page was still last year’s (Nov. 8, 2025).
  • Wormsloe and Fort PulaskiWormsloe’s events page showed only its October scavenger hunts, and we found no 2026 date for a Veterans Day free-entry day at Fort Pulaski. Fort Pulaski’s standard fee is $5 for visitors 16 and older; 15 and under are free.

About It's Georgia Editorial Team

The It's Georgia Editorial Team writes every answer on this site around the questions a busy family actually asks before a trip: how long is the drive, what does parking cost, can the stroller make it, are dogs allowed. Details are checked against official park, city, and venue sources, and each answer shows the date it was last updated.
