Short answer
The 2027 Masters is April 5–11 at Augusta National Golf Club: practice rounds Monday–Wednesday (face value $125 Monday and Tuesday, $150 Wednesday, the day of the Par 3 Contest) and the 91st tournament Thursday–Sunday ($160 a day). Every 2027 ticket has been allocated through the lottery, and applications for 2028 run June 1–20, 2027. Phones aren’t allowed on the grounds, and parking is free.

When is the 2027 Masters, day by day?
Masters week runs Monday, April 5 through Sunday, April 11, 2027. The face values are the 2027 prices on the official ticket site; times are from the patron guide and can change with weather (checked ).

How do you get Masters tickets?
Only through the Masters’ own lottery. Augusta National says it is the only authorized seller of Masters tickets, that resale is “strictly prohibited” and that people holding tickets bought from third parties may be refused entry (checked ).
- 2027: closed. The ticket page says all 2027 tickets have been allocated.
- 2028: new applicants can create an account now. Applications open June 1–20, 2027, and payments open in late July.
- Who can apply: you must be 21 or older. The ticket site allowed one application per household for 2027, with requests for every day but only one day won (checked ).
- How many: the ticket site’s 2027 settings capped a request at 4 tickets for a practice day and 2 for a tournament day.
- On the day: each ticket is good for two gate entries per day. There’s no will-call, so bring your ticket; if you lose it, find the nearest security officer.
What can you bring to the Masters?
The Masters publishes a short list of what’s allowed and a longer list of what isn’t (checked ). Phones are the one that catches first-timers: leave yours in the car or check it at the Tournament Checkstand outside the North and South gates. Courtesy phones are spread around the course.

Where do you park, and when do the gates open?
- Parking is free, first come, first served. Patron lots open no earlier than 6 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. The Masters asks you not to approach the club before 6 a.m.
- Hours: ticketing gates open at 7 a.m., the course at 7:30 a.m. Ticketing gates close at 6 p.m. (no entry after that), and the course closes 30 minutes after play.
- Rideshare and taxis: the rideshare lot is at 2800 Washington Road and the taxi lot at 2740 Washington Road, both a short walk to the North Gate.
- Which gate: the North Gate is closest to the practice area, the No. 1 fairway and the clubhouse. The South Gate is a shorter walk to most of the course, including Amen Corner and holes 15 and 16, where patrons set chairs early.
- Traffic: the Masters says patterns change during tournament week; use the QR code on the back of your ticket for GPS, or tune to WGAC 95.1 FM / 580 AM.
Is the Masters cashless, and can you bring food?
Yes, it’s cashless: concessions, merchandise shops and shipping take credit and debit cards only. No outside food or drink gets through the gates. For allergies, the Masters posts a Food Allergen Card and a Safe to Consume Guide on its patron page (the 2026 editions were the ones posted, checked ). The Masters suggests watching golf in the morning and shopping later in the day.
Can you bring kids, a stroller or a dog?
Strollers aren’t allowed, and the Masters asks you to leave them at home or in the car. No animals or pets are allowed except trained service animals. Wheelchair and mobility-vehicle users are asked to keep to hard-surfaced roads and flat viewing areas, since the grass gets slippery, and anyone accompanying them needs their own ticket.
Ticket applicants must be 21 or older, but the patron and ticket pages we read don’t spell out whether or how children are admitted, so check with the Masters before you plan around it.
How do you get to Augusta for the Masters?
Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) is the closest airport; Atlanta (ATL), Columbia (CAE) and Charlotte (CLT) are all within 160 miles, the Masters says. For 2027, the Masters says Delta will run its largest Augusta schedule yet, up to 20 direct flights a day during the tournament (checked ). By car, from our drive-time table:

Where should you stay for the Masters?
- Private homes: the Masters sends patrons to the Masters Housing Bureau (706-821-1300, mastershousing.com). The bureau, run by the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, says it is the only home-rental agency sanctioned by Augusta National; its 2027 listings were already up when we checked, from about a mile to 27 miles from the course.
- Hotels and motels: the Masters points to the Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau (706-823-6600, visitaugusta.com).
- Day trip: Atlanta is 2h 44m away with no traffic, so some patrons drive in; add time for the 6 a.m. lot opening and tournament traffic.

What’s the weather like during the Masters?
Mild, usually. NOAA’s 1991–2020 normals for Augusta’s Bush Field airport give April an average high of 78.5°F and low of 50.6°F, with 2.92 inches of rain spread over about 5 days of 0.10 inch or more; about one April day a year reaches 90°F. What else is there to do in Augusta during Masters week?
