Short answer
This directory gives each of 75 Georgia state parks, state historic sites and partner sites its own page: hours, costs, address and GPS point, dog rules and events nearby. State parks charge $10 per vehicle a day ($70 a year); historic sites charge their own admission. Checked on each place’s official page.
Pick a region below, or jump to the place you are planning. Every page lists the facts the park publishes on its own state page; where a fact is not published (stroller rules, most partner-site fees) we say so rather than guess.

How we check these pages
Each page is built from the place’s own official page (for most, its page on gastateparks.org from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources), read on October 20, 2026: hours, parking and admission, phone numbers, address and GPS point, facilities and notices. The descriptions are our own words.
Events nearby come from our Georgia event calendar, where every event is checked on its organizer’s page. Four lodge parks (Amicalola Falls, Unicoi, Georgia Veterans and Little Ocmulgee), the Dames Ferry campground and the Suwannee River Eco-Lodge are counted among the state parks; the lodge parks are run by lodge operators, who publish an address, phone and facilities but often no hours or fees, so those pages say “call ahead” instead of guessing.
Partner sites (a county park, a state wildlife area, an excursion train) are read from their own owner’s page. Spot something wrong? Tell us.
